Hi, I'm just a beginner guitarist and I'm wanting to play songs with different tunnings. Are there any websites anyone knows of which give different tunnings, or can anyone start me off by telling me how I can "tune down half a step". I've got a little electric tunner if that helps. Any help would be good, Nick.

Here is one way to tune down a half step
Place your finger on the first fret and tune your string to the normal "E" if it was your sixth string Then do the same for the "A" or 5th string. Do all the strings with this technique. when its finished you should be a half step down ;D

Hi de ho. If you can tune your guitar to stardard concert pitch ie EADGBE then you could try drop D which is DADGBE. Check out www.harmony-central.com there's lots of music software and tutorial type progs that'll help you tune your guitar in all sorts of funky ways. I use Super Guitar Chord Finder and Guitar Power. Any more questions just let us know, or check out #guitar-chat on Dalnet irc or Ausnet. Seeya
