hey guys im new to this forum...i have been playing guitar for a couple or years now and am occasionally gigging around sydney, beaches area...
Atm i have a Marshall G100rcd and am not that happy with the sound...i am wanting to upgrade in the near future and am looking for something quite versatile but mainly focussed with rock in mind. Something big enough for gigging, something with good tone on all channels, eg clean and overdrive/distortion and probably more than 2 channels
i wold love to get a mesa triple rectifier but might be a little out of reach at this stage finanacially...what other amps do you guys suggest for my situation, i have also come across the new marshall "Mode Four" but am yet to play it
any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks, Ben

My friend recently got a 75W Kustom amp, not exactly sure what model number etc but i'm pretty sure it's from the latest range. Only two channels, both with pretty good sound. I haven't heard much of the distorted channel because he mostly uses his DS-1, but with a DS-1 it sounds beautiful. I think it was $1000 but he got mates rates for $800. I can find out more specs and give it a bit more of a road test if you want.
P.s. - welcome to the forums!

well at this stage i dont have the cash to buy what i want but am looking into it now as to have something to aim for in terms of how much to save...
basically i would like an awesome amp with a good sound/tone in all channels clean and overdrive, id say the triple rectifer would be out of the question but maybe not the mode four, so maybe something around the 2-3k mark
thanks Ben
