Do you enjoy playing nice chords, grooves, and love to improvise?
Would you like to do this and not have to commit to a band and learn poxy cover tunes?
Do you like to experiment and try new things?
Then READ ON
I’m looking for musos (Bass, Drums, Keys, Blues Harp, Sax) who just love playing and would like to jam in private on an occasional basis.
I’m looking towards styles that focus on improvisation, feel, and allow the band to improvise as a whole.
Blues, Funk, Latin, Fusion, Reggae, Jazz, for example.
Classic Rock/Pop tunes (Stones, Beatles, AC/DC, Deep Purple etc) and Heavy Metal are all great music, but don’t lend themselves to jamming as well as less structured styles. So I'll pass on these styles.
I’m looking for people who are reasonably experienced and have a wide range of musical interests. You don’t have to be a virtuoso, you just need to be competent and be able to read a simple chord chart.
The jams would probably suit retired rock/blues pros, serious students, but don't rule yourself out, give me a call anyway.
If you are looking for Glory or Money don’t bother, ain’t none o’ that here.
But if you love playing send me an email.
I'm an ex-pro guitarist (over 25+ years) looking for a few people to jam with on an occasional basis. I also play Alto Sax and a little Mandolin (it's about this big...)
I'm Liverpool/Campbelltown based, but will travel to most places South of the Bridge

As a working pro I've played heaps of country gigs and toured NSW with many country shows and bands. I like some forms of Country more than others and enjoy Bluegrass and Newgrass players such as Dave Grisman, Tony Rice, Dan Crary, Clarence White etc. For jamming purposes Country is a little too song orientated, like some of the other styles mentioned. I sold my Tele about a year ago.
