well yeah, the topic says it all. I found this (i'm pretty sure its Dadd9 tuning) because one day i was in DADGAD and thought the G just got annoying, so i dropped it back to F# since thats the major third of a D chord. and THEN i went to go into that (DADF#AD) the other day, but i started playing before i dropped the high E to a D, et voila, i found D A D F# A E tuning all by mineself currently working on a song in this tuning, once i get it done i'll put it up

My guitar teacher has justed started me on some slide work. He has got me using the DADF#AD tuning for that. Have never done anything with this sort of tuning before - are you talking about using slide, or do you just write for that tuning, as everything I have previously known about chord structure appears to go straight out the window!!!

i would use a slide, but my acoustic is too crappy so when i use a slide it just sounds like scratching metal mostly
