Wow! .......Wow!......Wow! (lots of echos in here) Can anyone shed some light on what has happened to the most excellent Ozmusic-Central website? Disappeared a few weeks ago and I could not find any mention of it being shut down or whatever anywhere. Shame if it has as there was so much great info available on that site. Anyway, hoping someone has an answer.
Cheers,
Daz.

Dunno, man...oztabs stopped being updated ages ago and I suspect the owner's just let the hosting lapse on it. I'm sad to think it may have gone to website heaven. I KNEW I should have been going through and saving every last one of those tabs If anyone knows how to contact the webmaster of the site, let me know cos I'd love to find a way to host those tabs somewhere again. So many tabs. All gone. I thought they'd all be hosted on the jplay site, but not so Maybe I'm wrong and it's a temporary thing, though *fingers crossed*

Paul ran the site, he's on the forum here as Paul @ OZtabs, and the email listed on his details is oztabs at bigpond dot com, though it seems unlikely that that address will work anymore.
No idea what happened to the tab site? I've still got all the Spiderbait tabs that I made if they are of interest.

Yeah it's sad that website has gone down... I used to use it a fair bit for Aussie band tabs. Anyway you can still view the archive of the website.... The Tab links still work web.archive.org/web/20080731115557/http://www.ozmusic-central.com.au/oztabs/index.htmlUnfortunately the last backup of it was in August 2008.... So I'm not sure if it was update after then or not.... But there's still a heap of good tab there to view / save.

You need to copy that whole link above to get it to work even the bit that hasn't been hyper linked.

Does anyone still have a backup of the site? The archive.org version no longer works

From my above post - I emailed that address and it actually didn't bounce back straight away, so that's good. What's more is I found out Paul actually runs JPlay now, so maybe I can get a hold of him through that and see what's happening.

Think has been shut down by copywrite. The likes of Powder finger hateus shring stuff they prooduce for free!!! What they dnt get is this. Im not gonna buy 100 songs in sheet music to find out that I can only get 10 or 15 songs working well from my investment... so guess what Im gonna do? Im not gonna play em. Ill play US and Brit rock with my band instead. And promote foreign music. TAB sites are only a guide. ( 9 times out of 10 they are wrong anyway.) So to all you greedy bands out there (who for most if it wasnt for technology you would still be in your garage spanking your tin drums and playing outa tune guitars) share your sounds with as many people and get ova the whole download saga!!! Iv spent thousands on music and go to festivals and concerts and pay a fortune for it, so you can go and jamm it while im promoting foreign music!!!
