Hey there! I also have loved this song for a long time and looked high and low for a decent tab of it without much success I might add. I did find one which looked promising but I couldn't make much of it, although I didn't put much work into it. The transcription did not indicate where the chord changes should be. Maybe you could have more luck (or more perseverence), Try this: Her Town Too
(Gmaj7 F#m7 Em9 A F#m7 A/B Em9 A Em9)
A F#m7 A/B Em9 She's been afraid to go out
A Em9 She's afraid of the knock on her door
A F#m7 A/B Em9 There's always a shade of a doubt
A Em9 She can never be sure
A F#m7 A/B Em9 Who comes to call
A Em9 Maybe the friend of a friend of a friend
A F#m7 A/B Anyone at all
Em9 G/A Anything but nothing again
Dmaj9 It used to be her town
Gmaj7 It used to be her town, too
Bm7 F#m7 It used to be her town
Em7 G/A A/B Em9 It used to be her town, too
A F#m7 A/B Em9 Seems like even her old girlfriends
A Might be talking her down
Em9 A F#m7 She's got her name on the grapevine
A/B Em9 Running up and down
A The telephone line
Em9 Talking 'bout someone said, someone said
A F#m7 A/B Something 'bout, something else
Em9 A Someone might have said about her
Em9 A F#m7 A/B She always figured that they were her friends
Em9 G/A But maybe they can live without her
Dmaj9 It used to be her town
Gmaj7 It used to be her town, too
Bm7 F#m7 It used to be her town
Em7 G/A Gmaj7 It used to be her town, too
F#m7 Well, people got used to seeing them both together
Bm7 E9 But now he's gone and life goes on
G/A A/B Em9 Nothing lasts forever, oh no
A F#m7 A/B Em9 She gets the house and the garden
A He gets the boys in the band
Em9 Some of them his friends
A F#m7 A/B Some of them her friends
Em9 A Some of them understand
Em9 A F#m7 Lord knows that this is just a small town city
A/B Em9 A Em9 Yes, and everyone can see you fall
A F#m7 It's got nothing to do with pity
A/B Em9 A I just wanted to give you a call
Dmaj9 It used to be your town
Gmaj7 It used to be my town, too
Bm7 F#m7 You never know 'till it all falls down
Em7 Somebody loves you
G/A Dmaj9 Gmaj7 Somebody loves you
Bm7 Darling, somebody still loves you
F#m7 I can still remember
Em7 G/A When it used to be her town, too
