Read in today's Sun newspaper that (according to this magazines readers) Thin Lizzy's 1978 [shadow=red,left,300] LIVE AND DANGEROUS [/shadow] album is the greatest rock album of all time. Second was Strangers in the night by UFO, 1979, with Made in Japan by Deep Purple 3rd. Make no bones about it, Lizzy was a rockin' band, but thought it would be a good topic to open up on. I note that there are a lot of golden oldies like me here who remember this stuff and those times fondly ;D, but what about some thoughts from a few of the younger crowd??

These polls are stupid aren't they!
Lizzie were a great band (one of my all time greats) but I don't even think Live and Dangerous was their best album.
UFO - never got into them (never struck me as remotely special).
And Deep Purple - another great band represented here by one of their lesser albums. (I'd vote for Machine Head)
Ask another 100 people and get another 100 opinions.
They do stir up a good debate though.
For what it's worth - my top rock album of all time?
