we all know about the MPA's crusade agains free tablature on the internet and how site's like powertabs, and mxtabs have been affected by it but i was checking out some sites tonight and found that www.olga.net has been taken offline after receiving legal letters from the MPA. i know it's all been said before, but this is bullsh*t. olga had some great tabs on there which i'm sure were mostly tabbed out by people who worked hard on tabbing out their own interpretation of the song for the simple reason that other people would get the pleasure out of being able to play songs they like. and besides that they also had some technical stuff off their site which is a great help to all guitarists out there who want to improve and i'm pretty sure that stuff wasn't taken directly out of books published by the MPA. as far as i know it's all a free service and no money is actually exchanged so what kind of grounds do they have to shut these sites down and can they shut down sites outside of america?

No they cant remove non-american sites. Ultimate guitar is a good site, which is now based in Russia, to get around it. And it is crap, how on earth will ppl ever want to learn to play music if they have to pay $30 for a book when they might only want one or two songs?

Lawyers suck, unless they're on your side, even then they suck a bit, 'cause you still have to pay them....
