just wondering if someone could help. i recently sent a song into a record label, they liked it and wanted to hear a demo of the song. at the moment its just words with some music. any ideas on how to put the right music in there, or should i just go with the flow. its a pretty heart felt, gut wrenching song, ay suggestion of some chords etc. anyones help would be appreciated. cheers shanka

I'm slightly confused, did you send like a demo-demo? What sort of extra stuff do you want to put in your song? If it's already got music and the record company liked it I'd say try not to change it too much, but then again I don't know anything.

if you have sent in a rough cd or tape copy of your song then the record company will want to hear a more polished recording...ie getting rid of background noise, pops clicks etc. It basically means you need to go to a recording studio and lay down a simple version of your track...they charge by the hour..dont be afraid..tell them your situation and they will generally help. the alternative is to purchase a cheap digital recrder and do it your self...good luck wainscot
