I want one of those electric ones from the old Robert Palmer film clip for "Addicted to love." . The one where a couple of dozen cloned women (And one guy in drag, if you look close.) danced around playing various instruments and looking hot yet still very bored. It seems to me that having one of those guitars allows you to be able to just wave your hand near the strings and good sounds come out. So i want one. Wonder if E-bay has any....

Gotta have the Santana SE in natural wood finish. $1700 or so. Ouch!!!!!
I know....... I'll still be a shitty player ......... but, maybe it would lift me to great heights ........... like the garage roof.
Cheers

But a good instrument wil make you want to play even more, then you'll get better!
A Les Paul would be an awesome guitar to own

I recently read a review on the Belman and it really looked the goods. So, I guess I would have to compare, at least.

woohoo, my first reply....
hmm, mine is a toss-up between a Les Paul Ace Frehley Signature (cos its so sexified with its 3 humbuckers and all) or maybe an Ibanez RG 570 (so comfortable to play and has a tasty sound to boot)
if i were to choose an acoustic, it would probably be a Maton of some description. I'm no guitar coniseur (spelling?!) but i just find the sound from them very spine tingling and amazing, plus they're aussie!
