;D After a little over a year, and more than several unpaid gigs! - we have scored our first paid gig this coming Saturday!!! Yee Haw (as our country music fan peers would say ) by the time we split it up between the 6 members and the sound guy it ain't gonna pay of the mortgage, but it is just such a buzz I had to tell the world.

It's a step up at least, well done! You know that the place you play at think you're worth actually hiring.

Went well - had great fun, best gig yet! Crowd loved it, which is the main thing. Spent most of the money on on the sound guy and his gear, but what a difference it makes to proper levels running! Looks like we might get some more work from this as well. Might try for X-Factor next year!! (KIDDING!!! JUST KIDDING!!! ;D

A blend of stuff - some paul kelly, some van morrison - I guess a bit like the commercial radio stations - hits from the 70's, 80's, 90's and today!! Mostly dance stuff, with female vocals, but as I have noted before, our singer has a grouse range so we are not limited really.
How did your recording go over the weekend btw? What style of music is your band into?

Ahh it went ok. We recorded two songs (originals) and there's about 3 or 4 mistakes all up on my part because I recorded bass and both guitars, so I got sick of doing so many takes. Should turn out pretty good anyways, I'll try get some audio up when I can. We're pretty much a metal band, which is fine by me but I wouldn't mind some variety.. ah well. We're kinda like The Butterfly Effect/Tool I guess
