Brother's and Sisters!
At practice last night the discussion re playlist additions and changes came up (again!) We are a covers band, looking to step up to a few pub gigs later in the year, doing just little local things at the moment. Our list is a little dated etc, and with no specific theme.
Our vocalist is female, magic voice that ranges from Missy Higgins to Ellla Hooper, so our range is pretty wide. Rest of the band is keyboards (alo female backup singer), rhythm, lead, bass, drums. (None of the guys can sing to save our lives ;D)
Really interested to hear from you all, as I know we have a really good cross section of ages, interest, sexes etc on the board. If you have opened this to have a read, take the time to whack something down - many thanks

What ever you decide on for your set lists make sure you have at least 4 seperate lists with enough stuff to last all night and gauge the crowd on the night as to which list to play from. Be nothing worse than to arrive at a pub and all the chicks are wearing cowboy hats boots and spurs and you only have Missy and Killing Heidi to play from. If you get my drift, your not playing for yourselves your playing for the crowd..

hey dogil, my band used to have 2 gtrs, bass, drums, keyboard and a female singer (until she left today) so i'll give you some of the songs we played:
Eskimo Joe - From The Sea Hole - Malibu No Doubt - Sunday Morning Blind Melon - No Rain GNR - Sweet Child O Mine Killing Heidi - Weir and Live Without It Superjesus - Gravity
although, for some of these songs she just sang and didnt play keyboard. most of them she added keyboard if there was no keyboard in the actual song
hope those help

Thanks folks. Petox - just got Malibu on a compilation disc - any chance of the tabs or chords etc? Saves some time trying to thrash them out otherwise - thanks in advance ;D
