Wish me luck folks. Got our first official gig on election day playing at the local surf lifesaving club here in Vic. We have put in the hard hours practising, so we hope we are pretty tight with a good mix in the set. Am I excited - yeah!! Am I nervous - do you need to ask We have been invited to play at a local leg of the Relay for Life cancer fund raiser next month - 10 bands on the bill at Cowes (Phillip Island Vic). Looking forward to that. Do others agree that stepping out with a band tightens up your own playing and ramps you up towards the next level? I have improved heaps since I started playing with others.

thanks Petox Playlist - a nice mix we think, with plenty of good Aussie rockers. We have an AWESOME female singer with an incredible range - expanded us way beyond the garage band we started out as with our crappy voices. ;D thank You Dido time of your life Green Day dumb things Pual kelly chain of Fools - various buses and Trains - bachelor girl Beggar on the street of love -paul kelly tide is high - blondie walking on sunshine - katrina and the waves should I stay or should I go - teh clash blister in the sun - violent femmes boys in town - divinyls long way to the top - AC/DC weir - killing heidi (I think most of these are tabbed on this site, but if anyone wants them let me know - we worked out Boys in town last week, so will send that in soon)

Hey Buck, thanks for asking! ;D Pretty happy overall - the usual few sound problems and our keyboard/backup vocalist crashed with the 'flu, but the show went on. Can't have been too bad, 'cos we got booked for a Christmas gig. If nothing else we had a heap of fun, and my wife is now officially my number one groupie! Looking at some different stuff this weekend at practice. Learned a valuable lesson, just because the band thinks something sounds good, doesn't automatically mean the punters will love it as well.
