Genius? Bernie Taupin. I don't think there is one single number written by this guy that I have not enjoyed. This does not mean I'm a raging Elton John fan, but his lyricist has got to be right up there.

I don'y think that Shannon Noll actually would have written that song . I quite like the film clip, but. That chick is HOT

Did anyone notice at the logies when he sang that his mic wasn't turned on for the first line and a look of dread went across his face i couldn't stop laughing
Great entertainment, at least he wasn't miming
Also i agree with you walshy, Bernies lyrics are so cool and flowing, he's got it the best too, he'd be rolling in the dough, but he could walk down the street and practically noone would recognise him

I heard a song on the radio the other day. Title and artist I don't know or care. The song didn't do much for me, however there is a line in there that stuck.....
"There's no safe place and no place safe to rest my head......."
I thought that was pretty clever. Not Noebel Prize stuff, but clever none-the-less.

Hey Dionysus LOL I seen that at the logies and ROFL. But i could swear that he actually forgot his line, i didnt think for a minute that the mic was turned off. Either way i did have a good LOL. Another thing i thought funny was how Guy got to have female dancers and shannon had to have male dancers I think there is something about shannon that we dont know,

fnx said something about a good thing with being old is remembering good music but i'm only 20 and grew up on that stuff. give me the Beatles over a lot of new stuff anyday!
but it is so true that Shannon probably didn't write the song - it's much too complicated for most pop stars to come up with. sometimes i think it's a shame that most pop stars don't write their own material but imagine how much worse their stuff would be if they'd written it themselves...

Hey, Elvis never wrote any of his songs, but people still loved him.

No, I'm not. But to say that .....
nah F@#$ it, I can't be arsed
I'm not trying to defend Shannon. But there are people out there who like him. He wouldn't have got as far if noone did. It's just that those people are stupid.
I tell you, though. I have way more respect for artists who write their own stuff.
